Crop this weekend in Aurora!

So, we're super-duper excited to go to the crop this weekend in Aurora. Really, we are. Are you able to make it?

We just got back from CHA (craft and hobby association) and are excited to show samples and give away product that we got from the show! We have some awesome THICKERS by American Crafts. How cool are they? You'll have to try them to see! They retail for $5.00 per pack, but I'm giving them away this weekend. Yahoo!

We're excited too cause we're getting in 90 new cardstock 12x12 sheets. These papers are solid all of the way through so that when you rip them, they're still colorful! It's been too long since we've had awesome colors, so we can't wait to get them in! And, yup, they're all still only .50 cents per sheet!

Of course we're going to have sales this weekend to get rid of some of the other product to make room for the new! You'll have to check it out this weekend to see what they are!

And the answer to your question, yes, you can come to browse, you don't need to pay for that!

We'll be at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Aurora, IL. This is just south of Rt. 88 on Orchard Road. Very convenient location, if I do say so myself!!!

We all had such a great time in Lake Geneva, WI for our April 2010 Weekend Away - Scrapbook Retreat!

There was a full bar in the downstairs window - Krissy! There were Margarita Mamas and lots of new Scrapbooking T-Shirts being worn too!

So you are not going to believe this, but I think that I just added a mobile device to my phone to post to this blog... So watch out. Lots of cropping info!

Cricut Fonts or Bust!

So, I went online and searched for some new cricut fonts. Since I sold all of my paper trays, I figured I'd check out some cheap ways to get fonts. I checked these three favorite places:
- eBay
- www.OhMyCrafts.com
- www.CustomCrops.com

And, let me tell you - I was very successful finding my cricut cartridges for really cheap. How many you ask - over 40 of them... and maybe even more! I haven't yet counted them all!

Ok, so why did I do this? Cause I sold the paper trays and figured that I needed to invest in the Weekend Retreats that we do. So.... I am investing in the Cricut! Since I have the Gypsy (yes you can use it at the crops!) I'm getting ready to download all of these fonts onto my Gypsy and then have both the cartridges and Gypsy out for all to use!

Some of them that I couldn't live without were the newer fonts: Jubilee and Simply Sweet. The new Easter 2010 and Mother's Day are especially cute! I can't wait to use them ...

Sometimes Custom Crops and Oh My Crafts! has coupons that they will send to you if you sign up for their newsletter. Yup, it's free... but beware, they will send you emails just about everyday advertising something. They're really, really, really good at sending something out. So, just expect it. Now that you expect it, you'll love getting them. I love the 20% off coupons. Only once have I seen more than that. But the best part about these two stores is that they also always have their fonts and other products on sale and then you get the discount ON TOP OF THAT PRICE! It's awesome really. I got a few cartridges for only a mere $13.00. One of my croppers told me that she recently got a new cartridge for only $12. Be on the lookout and they have super-duper sales sometimes.

Cricut Tip!

If you love your cricut but are tired of buying new mats all of the time, or have your paper moving on your mat, then you must read this tip!

Using a baby wipe (the cheap one work!), gently wipe down your cricut mat. Do not rub the mat, as it will remove all adhesive, but work the paper fibers off of your mat. This will prolong the live of your mat. Yes, eventually you will have to purchase another one, but not for a few more uses! It's a wonderful thing!
